Selected works from Tele Visions will be exhibited at the Experimenta: Recharge 6th International Biennial of Media Art in an interactive installation work devised by Tele Visions directors Emma Ramsay and Alex White. The touring program opened at RMIT Gallery in Melbourne on the 28th of November 2014, and is currently touring nationally across Australia until mid 2016.
Tele Visions Afterlude presents works from the Tele Visions broadcast program in a new installation context where a number of self-generating TV channels continuously schedule and re-schedule the documented live TV works and selected screen works from the original Tele Visions program. Viewers can navigate through the works by changing channel and rewinding or fast forwarding through works. It is at once a solution to presenting a large volume of screen works in a gallery context and a reference to what TV has now become.
Works featured in Tele Visions Afterlude are:
Commissioned works recorded in front of a live studio audience at Performance Space, Sydney & Verge Gallery, University of Sydney
Selected screen works from open call out:
Amelia Johannes Pattern / Gestures 2008, Australia
Alex White Starfish Prime 2012, Australia
